We are soooo close!!! A few delays in construction but we are here now! The final touches are being put in (read supplies and furnishings. What?!?!). Construction review has passed and we are now waiting on getting from construction review over to the DOH licensing surveyors. They are the ones that will come in and make sure the place is safe for our future families!
So, bear with us! I'm anticipating we will be ready for the first births to be happening in just a few weeks.
THIS IS SO EXCITING!!!
So, I really didn't think we'd be here in November but such is construction! The walls have been repaired (from the massive electrical and plumbing installations), subfloor is in, and painting will be finished tomorrow. The flooring came in today and will be started on Wednesday. Cabinets to go in after flooring and then calling the plumber to install the toilet, set the tub, and the sinks. Tiling of the shower should happen in the next week. Then it's trimming out doors and wall trim and pouring an access ramp out that door. Construction should be complete by Christmas time!

The floor joists are in as well as the rough-in plumbing! Yay! We are on the hunt for a commercial electrician that can do the job affordably. While we are working on that, Dr. Brandy has been busy putting insulation between all those floor joists and cutting new doorways. We are on our way! Don't forget to help us out by donating funds or through our Amazon wish list!
Well, here we are at the beginning of June already. I had imagined that this project would be complete by now. But we had to bring on the right designer and the right team to create this dream. Our designer, Greg Krueger from Krueger Krafting, finished our plans in late April. They were submitted to the state for approval and we got our Ok to start construction in late May. Then the plans had to go to the city for a building permit and there they sit!
This weekend we did demo work in the birth suite to get prepared for the moment that permit comes through! In the meantime, I have been picking out the tub, toilet, sink, etc. We are in need of funds for these finishes though. We have money to get the rough construction done but we can't have a birth suite without a toilet! There is a Facebook post listing out some of the fixtures if you are inclined to donate tangible items.
Otherwise, you can find the link to donate funds here.
Click the button to donate now! Funds will go to construction at this time. Any left over after the build will go to provide care to those who can't afford it!
